After leaving the US Army as a major in its military police at age 36, Reacher roams the United States taking odd jobs and investigating suspicious and frequently dangerous situations. As of 27 October 2020, 25 novels have been published, the most recent being The Sentinel. Joel Kinnaman from The Killing and Altered Carbon. Handsome and menacing, Joel Kinnaman. Dolph Lundgren may have been a good choice, he's blond too, like the Jack Reacher from the books. Chris Hemsworth, maybe? I think Tom Cruise is a decent actor, and has been in many good films, but he's not remotely physically suited to play Jack Reacher. Jack Reacher is back and, uh, bigger than his previous (Tom Cruise-played) incarnations, with Titans' Alan Ritchson signing on to play the character in his Amazon TV debut.
